About Me

My photo
Carole Kelly
I was born in Plantersville at the Conlee house which was located just behind where the post office is today. I attended Plantersville school until 1956 when Plantersville lost its high school and I enrolled at Tupelo High graduating in 1958. After attending Ole Miss, serving in the army, working in Jackson, TN, Jonesboro, AR and Memphis, I returned to Plantersville in 1965 and commuted to Ole Miss for a summer session; during that time, I began dating Carole Tackett, and we were married on April 2, 1966, in my grandmother’s living room with the service performed by Brother Silas Johnson. Our only child, Cameron, was born in Starkville while I was in graduate school. On September 11, 1999, Cam married Tim Chennault, and on December 10, 2002, Carly Grace Chennault was born and life hasn’t been the same since. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to movies and watching the Disney channel with Carly, collecting Hitchcock movies, old time radio shows and books, and being a Bop Bop, Daddy and husband.
