Mrs. Stanley
I found a picture of a Mrs. Robert Stanley who taught music at Plantersville in the 50s. Does anyone know any more about her?
Mary Blanche Posey send the following: "In case no one else has written on the above subject: Mrs. Stanley, the former Miss Linda Bass, was a student at (and I assume a resident of) Plantersville in grades 1-8 (to graduate in '48), after which she transferred to Tupelo High School along with at least four of her classmates. She was in the class with Jack Price who might have more information. Her first year to teach music at Plantersville was 1949-50. Whether she taught longer should be revealed in later yearbooks."

Is this Lawrence Stanley's mother? She favors his daughter Janice (?). He had a lovely tenor voice and was a member of the PBC choir for a season. I don't know if his mother taught music or not, but it stands to reason that she did. He was very talented, too.
