One of my friends who lived in the same neighborhood here in Clinton used to talk about her next door neighbors the McDaniels. My friend was a widow and the man next door used to mow her yard and help her take care of her property. I heard others talk about Roger McDaniel, but I never met him. After he died, James Kelly shared his 1951 Plantersville annual with me, and there was a picture of Mr. McDaniel, a science teacher at Plantersville School. His first wife had passed away, and he had only been married to his second wife for ten or so years, but I showed her the annual, and she remembered him talking about Plantersville and especially Mr. Gooch, who she said he always admired.
Do any of you remember Roger McDaniel?
