The story lists the charter date as 1896 and the population as 1,144. The mayor is Gloria Holland with alderman: Chick Freeman, Sedes Shannon, Charles Heard, Jack Wuichet and Vickie Rigby. Other officals are town clerk, Norma Chandler, police chief: Robert Davis and Volunteer Fire Chief: Tommy Monts. Would that be Tommy Monts Sr. or Jr.?
