Karen Daniel, the daughter of Gwynne McFarling, lives in Denver and recently discovered this blog. Her mother, grandfather, great grandfather and other family members are all an important part of my memories of growing up in Plantersville.
My earliest memory is running away to Mr. Monts' store. I was fortunate that there was little traffic on Highway 6 in those days considering the number of times I probably crossed the road without supervision. I've been told that at times I made my escape to the store in the buff.
