Sunday Afternoon in Plantersville

I have a question about this picture of Uncle Ernest with Ernest Jr. and yours truly.  On the back of the picture it is dated 1946; however, I always thought that the store next door was not built until 1947.

Does anyone know when Doc Smith built the store?

Also, as this picture shows, Mr. Roy sold Shell gas while Mr. Monts sold Pure.  Raymon Stovall drove a truck for Pure Oil from 1949 until he became ill in the 60s.
